My story
Jordi Woerts
In December 2017, I traveled to Africa for the first time after finishing my commerce studies at the University of Rotterdam, Netherlands. I participated in a conservation and photography program at a reserve called Buffaloland and the renowned Klaserie. This experience was truly life-changing, but eventually, it was time to return to reality.

I began my career as a Social Media Manager at Kamera Express, the largest photography retailer in Western Europe. This role gave me the chance to refine my photography skills while learning how to effectively showcase my work on social media platforms.

While it was a valuable learning experience, the office life wasn’t for me. That’s when I decided to join a safari guiding training program in South Africa to immerse myself in the wilderness. This decision became a turning point that would shape the rest of my life. I transitioned from living in one of the most densely populated countries in Europe to the tranquility and vastness of the African bush.
Despite the challenges of obtaining a visa as an international in South Africa, I was fortunate to work in multiple reserves, including Balule, Klaserie, Makalali, and the highlight: Thornybush Nature Reserve. However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

My goal? Continue to make a meaningful impact on the protection of these last remaining wildlife areas. These regions face immense pressure every day from poaching, habitat loss, and other significant challenges. By guiding guests on safaris, sharing captivating content on my social media platforms and website, and using storytelling as a tool, I strive to inspire others to take part in conserving these vital strongholds of wildlife.
