In fact, scientists can scan images of zebras and identify individuals by ‘reading’ their stripes, just like you’d read a barcode. How cool! The black and white are slightly unusual though in the bush, how do they blend in with their surroundings? But when all together in a big herd an individual is difficult to point out at high speed for a predator!
